i want to be one of those people who thanks the driver when they get off the train. i see men in suits do it every now and again, and it seems so thoughtful. but i don't know that i will ever be that gracious.
instead i am the girl with the unwashed red hair wearing a neon green taffeta bridesmaid's dress picked up from the white elephant for $5.95. i am the girl who stands on the platform and gets hit on by the station agent at 8 a.m.
and i'm surprisingly ok with this. because while so are you waiting on the purple line? is the worst pick-up line in the world, it makes for a pretty good start to a rainy wednesday.

I think the thanking should be a goal for your 30's.
also. i want a full pic of you in said dress.
I rarely say thank you to the train drivers since I'm almost never near them, but I usually thank the bus driver when I get off a bus at the front. I can't help it. I was raised a Southern boy.
linlin, you'll get a picture.
sensei, you're such a good southern boy.
