4 swan song

The Green Shoes (ver. 2.0) of Starkville, Memphis, and Chicago passed away on August 13, 2006. They were preceeded in death by their slightly older identical twins, The Green Shoes (ver. 1.0), who gave their lives at Memphis in May 2005, and their cousins, The Red Shoes of the Dread Pirate Dougo. The Green Shoes were survived by everyone who knew them. Their laces will live on.

do actually still have them (but they've got gaping wounds that render them impractical. thus, the retirement) and am contemplating cutting the tops off and pasting them into my journal. the green shoes (vers. 1.0 and 2.0) have been definitive, after all.

Oh those green shoes. Its like the end of an era. I still have my steel-toed boots. I have put them into semi-retirement. I only bring them out when I feel the need to be particularly badass looking. Or just looking like a hobo.
I will be sure to pour some MadDog 20/20 for your fallen homies.
