7 birth day

i live in chicago. i've lived in chicago for nearly five years and it has taken nearly all of those five years for me to decide that the thing that pleases me most about living in chicago, the thing that makes chicago feel most like home, is the fact that i'm guaranteed one night a year where i can stand in a crowd of drunk yuppies fist-pumping to "lord, you gave me a mountain" and be led by a group of impersonators in singing happy birthday to a man who has been dead for 33 years.

FUN!

I love all these people in the photos. Even those that I do not know.

johanna's beret was MAGICAL. that's pretty much all you need to know.

I believe that once, before you leave the City, I need to come be with you during Elvis weekend.

If you go to Vegas I would like to join. They have a Bettie Page dress store there. It is my destiny.

ALSO:

I did spot the magical beret. Fab.

berets all for my oline. It was worth it despite the drunk a-holes that kept coming up to me asking if I spoke french. nothing like tools stopping you on the way to the bathroom saying, "Parlez vous france?" as if they are funny or cool.

in contrast, i think katie i's "au revoir" made the night. it's amazing what girls can get away with that boys can't.
