10 devotched

"on that one hot day in may, this will be the moment i remember."

"why did i ever think canvas shoes in snow was a good idea?"

"i was looking at your shoes earlier and i thought: what tenacity!"

"i'm almost freezing to death, right here, right now, on this damn bus."

"i think it's not an exaggeration to say that it is currently colder than it has ever been anywhere else in the world ever."

"i just want a bear to come stand on my feet and hug me."

"winter hurts."

"i hate to break your heart, but there appears to be line around the block business."

"don't worry. my heart froze long ago."

"we are indoors and i can see my breath. that's obscene."

"truly, i mourn the lack of tubas in mainstream american music."

"of all the things i was expecting here, a polish ho-down wasn't one of them."

"my God, we're going to die."

"as a rational person, i know we're not in an igloo right now, but that's a really difficult truth to grasp."

"it's been quite some time since i last felt my feet. i hope everything's ok down there."

"i know we didn't know it would be like this, but now that we know, by God, i don't know what we'll do now."

"i will so be making love to the radiator tonight."

"i don't want to worry you, but i feel the end is nigh."

"have we died yet?"

my vote for Oline post of the year. Just like cinematic endeavors, Oline's posts become absolutely packed with import come Fall/Winter. That is not to say her summer season is one filled with fluff and bombast. But her winter line-up has been flawless. From Aszhleigh siting to implying that I am a Huckstable (sp?), there has not been a dull moment. All of a sudden I'm the blog critic for the trib.

[the humble oline takes a bow].

this tragic masterpiece commemorates the second coldest i've ever been in my life ever. the dread pirate huxtable (sp?) cosbO wasn't lying: it's mighty damn coooooooold out there.

and we missed you, pirate. concerts without a pirate always seem rather lacking. gogol here we come!

You're not really selling this whole "move to chicago" idea with this post, darling.

that's why you would be in the same building, love. so we could have a nonstop lindearsoline slumber party and really hunker down. the vieve and i are hunkered right now, but the vieve is more clammy than warming.

clearly we need to get a permit to level a building on bombsoline street, have a new building commissioned & built to house all you ladies. we'll call it the carbombsolindear shelter.

my fingers are crossed for someone to clear out of the bombshelter building so i can move in there and we can begin importing southern refugees. then we can all live in the house that bombsy built.
